VSAT SCPC (Single Channel Per Carrier) is a point-to point communications link service, which connects two locations with a dedicated bandwidth assignment that cannot be shared by other locations. It may be thought of as point-to-point LC (leased channel), but using a satellite media.
The SCPC Bandwidth starts from 64 kbps (kilobits per second) and goes up to 2 Mbps, and may be used for data, audio and video transmissions. Even though it is point-to-point, the SCPC can and is often used to serve networks with Star topology (point-to-multipoint).
All the applications served by the VSAT IP Broadband may also be served by the SCPC, especially applications that need a continuous data transmission in huge volumes.
